Electron temperature fluctuations in Seyfert galaxies

ABSTRACT We use Gemini GMOS-IFU observations of three luminous nearby Seyfert galaxies (Mrk 79, Mrk 348, and 607) to estimate the electron temperature (Te) fluctuations in inner 0.4–1.1 kpc region these galaxies. Based on Te determinations through [O iii]λ5007/λ4363 emission line ratio each spaxel, variations are quantified by computing integrated value fluctuation parameter (t2) projected plane sky $t_{\rm A}^{\rm 2}$, for first time active galactic nuclei (AGNs). find 2}$ values 0.135, 0.039, 0.015 607, respectively, which same order or larger than maximum reported star-forming regions planetary nebulae. Taking into account that should be considered a lower limit total t2 nebular volume, results suggest impact such chemical abundance can important some AGNs.
